Brooks Cambium C17 launch 17th May

Well Brooks England seem to have been working pretty hard on bringing new products out lately. There’s a number of new bags and accessories in an array of colours and special editions of their classic saddles. Being a bit of a fan i’m excited to see that a brand new saddle is going to be launched on 17th May. Called Cambium and also known as the C17 the saddle does not need to be worn in and is ready to ride comfortably straight away. It’s also waterproof so no need to coat it in wax. Convenient like a modern saddle then but with traditional Brooks styling and design. Good news is Brooks have announced a testing program where 100 people will be selected worldwide. According to Brooks:

  • 33 will be long-time users of Brooks Leather Saddles,
  • 33 will be cyclists who have used both Brooks Leather Saddles and other saddles,
  • 34 will be cyclists who have never used a Brooks Leather Saddle.

To get involved you just need to fill in 20 questions. Doing that will get you a 10% discount in their online shop too.

UPDATE: The saddle is made from natural rubber and organic cotton with a some structural textile. There’s more info now on the Brooks England blog.
