Carradice City Classics

I’ve got a lot of time for companies like Carradice. They  make good quality products that last a long time. The waterproof cotton duck bags are hand-made in their factory in England, and a little label inside lets you know who handcrafted your bag.  I love that kind of thing and I’m pleased to see they’ve laucnhed a new range called City Classics.

First up is the Alston Saddle Pack made from duck cotton with leather straps and costs £45. You don’t have to have a traditional steel ride to own it, i think the black version would look good on a smart carbon stead.

Next is the Kelbrook Satchel, again made from cotton duck which is a remarkable fabric. I’ve been drenched right through on Exmoor, hardly able to see and with soggy feet in my waterproof socks but the contents on my saddlebag has been dry. It won’t stay dry forever but it works well enough. You can fit a laptop in it’s pouch and it comes with a shoulder and sternem strap to keep it from rocking around when riding. It’s on sale for £120.

I’m liking the updated logo too. I’m not sure what’s got in to Carradice but i like it.

That satchel looks gorgeous especially in green! I have been buying Carradice panniers for years and currently have a pair of modified Super C recumbent bags.I also have a rack top bag as well and will always buy from this brand!
