Damned if you do…

Chris Horner wins the Vuelta at 41. Did he cheat? Can we not enjoy his win? If you now win a race, especially a grand tour, are you first and foremost a fraud, then a great athlete? Type in any pro riders name that has won a grand tour and get the first letter d… You get the word doping. This must play on the mind of each and everyone of them, no matter what they do, the internet will have dozens of links to possible reasons they doped. They might have too. But what do I know, what do you know? Nothing. So it would be easier to make a choice, enjoy it or stop following it – leave it to the professionals. I like to think that the detection is getting much better. The newer generation of riders are growing up in better environments that make sure any doping can’t take place. If the playing field was made level, then it it is entirely possible a 41 could win a grand tour. Just seems no matter what there will be the winners curse for years to come yet. That is the price to pay for the sports history. But I for one will not be making assumptions that riders cheated. I will wait for any official answers from the likes of WADA before I slam a rider. We do the same in law, innocent until proven guilty. Not guilty whilst waiting to be proved guilty! Begone winners curse!

Is the curse that they forget apostrophes exist? Or are you just telling us that winners are real potty mouths?

What’s an apostrophe? Is it some sort of special trophy?
