Trek will be supplying the team with a variety of customised Project One bikes including Émonda, the ultimate lightweight road racing machine, and Madone, the new benchmark for aero road performance. In addition to racing Trek, the team will also be utilising a full compliment of Bontrager helmets, shoes and wheels all of which are raced throughout the world including the WorldTour.

The riders will be wearing kit produced by Italian brand, Santini via their kit sponsor 2016 and beyond, Prendas Ciclismo. Established in June 1996, Prendas attribute a large part of their success in establishing strong relationships with people not only here in the UK, but in Europe too, they know all of their manufacturers personally and have worked with numerous domestic teams over the years as well as supplying kit to countless aspiring individual riders.

Team Director Bob Varney said:
“The UCI licence provides us with a fantastic opportunity for the team to develop, allowing us to compete in a greater number of and higher quality races. This will ensure that we can continue to offer a realistic pathway to the professional scene of women’s cycling for British riders.

We are proud of our all-British roster and being able to offer a structured environment for British riders to showcase their talents at the highest level of women’s cycling.

This is really exciting news for all of us at Drops, from our riders and staff to sponsors and management. We have all been working really hard behind the scenes to make this happen and the news received is a proud moment for all concerned.”
