Empire Cycles 3D Printed MX-6 prototype

Empire Cycles have been working with 3D printing specialists Renishaw to create a 3D printed titanium version of their MX-6. This is the first time a full frame has been created in this way. Using a technique called topological optimisation they have managed to create a frame that is a third lighter than a conventionally produced frame. It will be on display at the London Bike Show this week.
