Headset Press Likes: Herne Hill

Bit out of sync with our likes posts, but as it happens something wonderful came to our inbox from Friends of Herne Hill so this is the latest likes;

The Friends of Herne Hill Velodrome have joined forces with London’s brightest and best designers and bike shops to bring you a Christmas gift selection tailor made for the cyclist in your life.  And, if the items weren’t lovely enough, funds from each purchase will help the campaign to save Herne Hill Velodrome.

Choose from jerseys (short and long sleeved) from Milltag, caps from Condor or a beautifully produced, limited edition landscape print from South London Prints.

Phil Wright, Friends Trustee, who has organised the gift selection, said “People down at the track are always asking if there’s something they can buy to support the campaign to save Herne Hill so we thought we should create some kit based around our terrific Carl Ison logo. Milltag worked on some of the ideas riders came up with and produced the truly lovely Friends jersey. Three top bike shops who’ve already done loads to help us over the years stepped up to stock them; Condor, Brixton and De Ver. Condor also got some cool caps made to a matching Milltag design. Everyone coming together to support the future of the Velodrome; fantastic!”

Jerseys retail at £50 for short sleeved and £60 for long sleeved. Caps are £10, with all profits going to the Friends. The print retails at £30 unframed and £50 framed, with a percentage of profits to the Friends. At present the jerseys are available in limited numbers, so get in there quick but if we do sell out before Christmas, we’ll send a beautifully presented gift certificate and the jersey will follow.

Jerseys – direct from Milltag.ccCondor, De Ver Cycles and Brixton Cycles have an exclusive stock in store. Caps – available from Condor.
Prints – available from www.southlondonprints.com or at Herne Hill Market every Sunday.
Friends membership – via www.hernehillvelodrome.com/friends only £10 a year.
