Icknield Way

Lovely country lanes, my favourite places to ride when there’s a warm sun.

From Rapha:
The UK Continental’s second journey of the year took them along the Icknield Way. Reputedly the the oldest road in Britain, it was famously traversed by the poet Edward Thomas, who described it as a “shining serpent” down which to slide into an England of ages past.

  • Had this since I can remember. It's had a job or several to do on every bike I've owned since I was old enough to mess about with them. Glad to have it still.
  • Doing our thing on the #letour2015. Stage 3 was brutal.
