Mavic: Footwear development process

Season greetings. I’ve posted on Mavic’s helmet process and I think I’ve also posted a video of how shoes are made. This is a great addition to those. I think as a consumer it’s nice to know what is involved and that you’re paying for a tried and tested product. From the design perspective [which inspires me] it’s amazing, I would be very excited to spend my days working on potential shoes or any other worthwhile product. It’s nice to see a company developing it’s own product too, so much prototyping-to-design is outsourced or just plainly rebranded, and this might create good affordable products but the truly inspired products need this level of thought. I will never really look at a good product in the same way…
