MET Fixed Adrenaline Tournament (FAT)

Whilst we were enjoying the wonders of Bespoked, last Saturday. Fixed gear enthusiasts took to the mini drome for MET’s Fixed Adrenalin Tournament.

The Ring in l’Isle Jourdain – France – hosted its first MET Fixed Adrenalin Tournament, a unique track event for fixed gear bikes. A wild ride that takes place on one of the smallest velodromes in the world.

Fearless cyclists faced a demanding test of mental and physical strength and technical skill. The MET FAT was a fantastic tournament and a hurricane of action, with over 20 top national riders and over 15 different nationalities racing on the night. As with many knockout tournaments, the stakes were high and the excitement was intense. The magic really started after the qualifying runs, which is when the 16 fastest riders entered the final rounds of the tournament. Juliet Elliott and Thomas Dalbigot proved to be the most skilled riders on the track that night and won the prestigious trophy.

MET would like to take this opportunity to thank the local fixed gear community for their continued support, as well as the officials from the Ring, and the sponsors without whom this type of tournament, would not be possible: Bluegrass protective gears, DZR shoes, Coven magazine, the Veloscope, the Ring and Rollapaluza.
