Mind the Gap

The condor, graceful but such an ugly head. Great day of racing from what I was expecting, it was much better than I thought it would be. Got to say the old steak muncher turned on the heat today but, Froome answered him, good fight. That fight does actually seem to be for second place? I’m just loving Quintana though! Tomorrow won’t be good for him though. But tomorrow will shake up second place and below on the GC, incidentally it’s a bit early for the last TT. Anyway… that descent?! Smashed Beloki back in 2003 (Phil Liggett always mentions it too). This year – ok not on the same bit – nearly caught out Alien Robot Head and Steak Muncher this time! Mind the Gap.

An amazing day of racing. Richie Porte, take a bow; amazing on the climb, and amazing again to get back to Froome before the decent, when it looked like he was dropped. That allowed him to tow Froome back to the group after the “crash”. Not often a Brit cheers on the sporting endeavours of an Aussie, but he is one who will be getting my support.

Porte is putting in a superb ride. But my cheers are for Quintana!
