Nibali Giro winner 2013.

What a Giro d’ Italia! Whilst I wasn’t fortunate to catch any action on TV, I saw a lot of the photography and read the reports (that used to be the only way). The weather really played it’s part this year, as it often does being held in May and reaching the high mountains. Nibali was a worthy winner and put in a strong ride to keep his lead in a strong fashion, mostly notably in the mountain TT. Alongside Nibali, Cavendish pulled off another feat of sprintery [new word I just made up] and is fast becoming one of the best cyclists the world has ever produced based on performance. Hell, even Cuddles got a podium place! The most notable loser was Sir Wiggins. I hope he has some luck at the Tour, feels like fate is never that kind to him.
