I have a lot respect for the men and women of the armed forces, and more specifically for those that ended up in combat and how they deal with the stresses of combat. It’s also a sad fact that some of these brave souls don’t come back. This extreme cycling challenge was set up to honour the memory of ex-marine, Paul Woodland, by his friends. The challenge will see a non-stop cycling ultra take place whereby the team will have to complete 4,000miles from Seattle to Key West, Florida, in just 8 days, which will mean cycling round the clock and through the night. Three of the cyclists are ultra endurance athletes and humanitarians but the 4th rider, Ross is not. He is completely new to extreme fitness and his main motivation for signing up to this gruelling task is to keep his best friends memory alive. The challenge will see each cyclists having to cycle at an average speed of 18mph – good luck lads, Headset Press know you can do it! Go to their Facebook page for more info here.
