Simpson Vuelta T-Shirt

Whilst we are on the subject of the Vuelta. Our friends over at Simpson magazine have added a new t-shirt to their Grand Tour Series. Available here for £15!

“Until recently the Vuelta has been greatly overlooked and overshadowed by the Giro and the ‘Le Tour’. Being the youngest of the three grand tours, it’s only now finding the popularity that rightly belongs to it. For many hardened cycling fans the 1973 edition saw the race truly come of age when Belgian Eddy Merckx became the first cyclist to complete the Vuelta-Giro double.

To honour this noted year for the both the Vuelta and Eddy Merckx, we have produced a very limited edition t-shirt that reflects a style native to that halcyon era. With both Valverde and Rodriguez hungry for red, why not do so yourself!”
