Sprints, Crashes and Green

I’ve been watching the Tour for nigh on 30 years (I’m old one here at Headset Press). Still to this day the sight of the peloton sprinting for the line brings me so much joy, I lose all sense of what is going on and end up shouting and whooping is it’s a good finish. Today was a good finish. Cavendish delivered, like a missile chased be other missiles! The crashes. Never good. Todays carnage was maybe avoidable, it’s so sad to see a rider injured and unable to continue. To take photos of a man crying [at not being able to continue the toughest race in the world] on your iphone, well you can be the judge of that. Sagan seems to have swapped showboating for real tactics and is firmly placed in the Green jersey. Let the sprints continue.
