In addition to the story below, Humans Invent have a great interview and some fantastic photography, courtesy of Camille McMillan. To read the interview and full all of the images, take a look at the article here.
The Obree/Beastie updates have to be shared, this time from the Comic (Cycling Weekly) and Rick Robson. The Beastie is making progress by the look of things and a medal of honour should be handed out for having a test run in such fowl weather! Great Scottish stuff, I say. Always wishing Graeme the best on his attempt, check the full Cycling Weekly story here.
This teaser clip has been floating around on Vimeo for a couple of months. I can’t find anymore info on it though. I’m very interested and hope this project is happening. We all know Graeme’s past achievements, but I really like what he is doing now and I [like 1000's of others] want to follow his adventures.
I saw these fantastic pictures of Graeme Obree and his bike “Beastie” on Twitter this morning, taken by Paul Calver. By the looks of it, Graeme has been out on a Beastie for a lot longer than the last video we posted. Look forward to seeing more progress!

I don’t remember if we posted this but if not, here’s an interview with Obree on his attempt on the human-powered land speed record. I saw it again over at The Bicycle Academy’s blog. Andrew, the lucky chap, got to meet Obree this year at Bike Bath.
He thinks about everything. I don’t really get it but i just love it. Breathing: The Graeme Obree way from Humans Invent on Vimeo.
Graeme Obree’s first ride on his new bike. He says it feels great but I am not sure, looks pretty crazy at the moment. Look forward to seeing it moving a bit faster!
An update from Humans Invent. Graeme Obree continues to build has human powered land speed rig. Truly amazing to watch and listen to the man. I can’t wait for all the updates! Thrilling stuff and angle grinding in the kitchen! Love the man. Headset Press supports Graeme Obree all the way down the road to 100mph!
The ingenuity of this man is legendary and he can smash out a cracking good ride too! I admire him so much, as a cyclist, engineer/builder/maker, but most of all for his human spirit. I wish nothing more than for him to have success at his attempt, which is not an easy this to do. Beating the human powered land speed record is going to take a remarkable … Read more
