The Super Component Project

Those super parts from Campagnolo, Shimano and more.

I’ve [Steve] had this side project going for some time now, and I’ve been doing this style of component illustration for even longer. I do it mainly for fun but also to keep certain creative skills active. The fun part is totally born out of growing up fascinated with bikes and being in total awe over these shiny components and other things related to cycling folklore. Those super parts from Campagnolo, Shimano, SRAM, Suntour and so on. Later this year we will be bring some out as prints through Headset Press. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do in creating them and there will be more to come.

Suntour Superbe Tech from the 80’s a unique thing.

Paul Component teamed up with legendary House Industries to create graphics on this center pull calliper.

A prototype of the know legendary Klamper disc brake, again from Paul Components.

Phil Road hubs are some of the smoothest hubs I’ve seen, handmade in the USA.

Shimano XT 7 speed thumb shifters the height of MTB gear technology, still massively popular in certain cycling circles today for their robust and easy to use capabilities.
