Three hot new jerseys from Rapha

I love this time of year. The Spring Classics start, the sun starts to warm up and stays out longer making evening rides enjoyable. Best of all is all the new cycling clothing to oggle at, maybe even buy. The design of Rapha’s latestst short sleeve jerseys has to be my favourite at the moment.

Trade Team Jersey

This set of three jerseys celebrates the 1974 Giro in which Eddy Merckx rode and won for Molteni, Italian Gianbattista Baronchelli came second riding for SCiC and then World Champion Felice Gimondi came third racing for Bianchi-Campagnolo. These jerseys are made from the same merino-blend Fabric as the Rapha Classic Jersey and have several embroideries and individual nicknames on the front mimicking the sponsor logos of each team. There’s also a specially designed ’57 – podia corsa’ motif on the back. I’d happily have all three, wonder if i can have my name embroidered into them? Visit Rapha for the full details on the Trade Team jersey.

Brevet Jersey

Made from Sportwool fabric which has been worn by a team of Rapha riders taking on Paris-Brest-Paris this jersey is just made for those about to take on an Audax. It features high-visibility stripes, one in colour and the other in perforated Schoeller fabric, hi-vis trim on the cuffs, reflective armband, water-resistant zipped chest pocket for brevet cards and three large pockets. It come supplied with a hi-visibility windproof vest with an offset zip. This jersey is made for the audacious. See more on the Brevet jersey on Rapha’s site.

Club Jersey

A  Rapha favourite, the Club jersey has three new colours inspired by three Italian Classics: The 300km of Milan-Sanremo, the falling leaves of the Giro di Lombardia and the gravel roads of the Strade Bianche. Speaking of Strade Bianche, watch Sagan, Cancellara, Wiggins and Valverde on the dusty roads of Tuscany tomorrow (Sat 8th March). Also made from Sportwool this jersey is a good choice for riding throughout most of the year. Full details on the Club jersey.
