Throwing bikes

It happens. The latest bike thrower is Marcel Kittel. In the heat of the moment it’s kind of understandable, you are lining up for the sprint and next thing you’re on the deck and a career defining moment is lost. Wiggo did a good one that was comical, Millar chucked his over the fence so, Kittel is in good company. Next comes the abuse and the rider calms down and has to apologise before the sponsors get pissed. In Marcel Kittel’s case it certainly wasn’t the bike and he had this to say on twitter; @marcelkittel: I’m VERY sorry for throwing my beloved Giant Propel on the ground. I still love it! We’re just having an intense relationship. #deepemotions, which is a pretty good retraction. It’s not unique to this sport either, here is the most famous of them all at age 49. Need I say more?
